Tkd Poom

Would taekwondo knowledge help in aikido?
I might want to do aikido, and i am a 1st poom in taekwondo. Do you think i should try out aikido? if tkd knowledge does help, how??
Just to be different.. I will say yes…. Only for the fact that you should have a good understanding of balance, and your center of gravity, also you should have understanding of how to learn, not that your flying reverse kicks are going to apply, but that you are already programed to learn something new…. I am transition myself to another art and I would compare it to learning a new language… I am getting a new vocabulary, I may be able to fumble my way through a sentance, but I cannot carry a conversation haha…. but I suggest be humble and do not walk in and say Yes I have studied TKD, instead go in as if you were completely new, because you are..

Carved of teakwood by hand, the miniature temple is intended to become a spirit house. According to custom, when people finish building their houses they create a san phra poom, or guardian spirit house. A Buddhist ceremony takes place to invite a protective spirit to inhabit the small house. It is believed it will bring luck, happiness, success and security against mean spirits or enemies who might threaten the family or their home. |

Teak spirit house, ‘Naga’s Protective Spirit’ $432.95 Pirot Gitikoon shares Thai traditions with this hand-carved replica of a Buddhist temple, intended as a guardian spirit house or san phra poom. According to custom, when people finish building a house they include a spirit house to protect the family from evil spirits. Gitikoon carves this house by hand from quality teak wood. The gables feature eight heads shaped like Naga, the protective dragon. The bargeboards replicate Naga’s scales, as well as swan tails. The swan is a mystical being from the Himaphan forest.
